Product description: Chemical. CAS: 150206-05-6. Formula: C29H19NO11. MW: 557.46. Synthetic. 5-CFDA is membrane-permeant and can be loaded into cells via incubation. Once inside the cells, 5-CFDA is hydrolyzed by intracellular esterases to 5-carboxyfluorescein. It has been used for labeling human intervertebral disk cells in vitro for fluorescence microscopy. Continuous determination of the intracellular pH in bacteria by fluorometry.
