Détails Produit

Product Description
Pure lectin ACL/ACA is isolated from tassel flower (Amaranthus caudatus).
ACL is a dimer composed of two subunits and is homogeneous by SDS-PAGE with a molecular weight between 60,000 - 70,000. Isoelectric focusing of the lectin resolves it into four bands with isoelectric points between pH 6.7 and pH 7.7. Unlike most lectins, it binds best in mildly acidic conditions. ACL preferentially binds to oligosaccharides containing GalBeta3GalNAc. ACL elutes desialyzed fetuin at a concentration of 0.2M. ACL tolerates sialic acid substitution at the 3 position of galactose in the “T” antigen.ACL has blood specificity of O>B>A (-SA) and T antigen.

ACL comes in a lyophilized powder form and is stable for 12 months from production date when stored below -20 C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer or ddH2O, stable for 6 months at -20 C. No metal ions are required for binding.

Applications:
Used as a probe for T- and cryptic T-antigens
Used as a histochemical probe for proliferating colonic epithelial cells
Suitable for use in ELISA
