Product description: Polyclonal Antibody. Recognizes human GPX1. Detects a band of ~23kDa by Western blot. Source: Rabbit. Applications: ELISA, WB. Liquid. 0.2µm-filtered solution in PBS, pH 7.4. Contains no preservatives. GPX1 is an antioxidant enzyme that is down-regulated in cancer cells. Protects the hemoglobin in erythrocytes from oxidative breakdown. Its main role is the prevention of cancer initiation by ROS-mediated DNA damage.
