Down-regulates phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase and sterol regulatory element-binding protein-1, which are known to produce anti-diabetic effects. Induced glucose uptake and inhibited phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase (PEPCK) expression in vitro.
