Product description: Chemical. CAS: 55145-14-7. Formula: C16H14N2O4. MW: 298.29. Synthetic. Excellent blue fluorescent thiol-reactive reagent (Ex/Em: 383/463nm), widely used for probing configurations of biomolecules such as proteins and create blue-fluorescent bioconjugates. The unreacted reagent is non-fluorescent and can also be used to quantitate free thiols. Shows superior fluorescence and water solubility properties than dansyl chloride.
