Product description: Protein. Human FABP1 (aa 1-127) is fused at the N-terminus to a His-tag. Source: E. coli. Endotoxin content: <1EU/µg purified protein (LAL test; Lonza). Liquid. 0.2µm-filtered solution in 20mM Tris-HCl, pH 8. Purity: >90% (SDS-PAGE). FABP1 is a fatty acid binding protein in adipocytes. Fatty acid binding proteins are a family of small, highly conserved, cytoplasmic proteins that bind long-chain fatty acids and other hydrophobic ligands. FABPs regulate the fatty acid uptake, transport, and metabolism. FABP1 is required for cholesterol synthesis and metabolism.
