Détails Produit

Product Description
Agglutinin SBA is isolated from soybean, Glycine max and purified by affinity chromatography. SBA is a glycoprotein with a molecular weight of 120,000 Da and consists of four subunits of identical size. This lectin has isoelectric points of pH 5.8 - 6 and a carbohydrate specificity of αGalNAc greater than BetaGalNAc, eluting a concentration of 0.2M of N-acetylgalactosamine.

Glycine max agglutinin has specificity for blood groups A1, A2, and B, and interacts better with neuramidase-treated cells than untreated cells. This lectin has selective affinity for lymphocytes and human CD34+ hematopoietic stem cells. Immobilized conjugates of SBA are important tools for removing T-cells in bone marrow transplants.

This product comes in a lyophilized powder form and is stable for more than three years from production date when stored below -20 C. Calcium and manganese are required for binding.

Applications:
Studies of SBA-binding normal and tumor cells
Blood group agglutination
Glycoprotein studies
Cell agglutination studies
