Product description: Protein. The extracellular domain of human IL-17A (aa 24-155) is fused at the C-terminus to the Fc portion of human IgG1. Source: HEK 293 cells. Endotoxin content: <0.06EU/µg purified protein (LAL test; Lonza). Lyophilized from 0.2µm-filtered solution in 1X PBS. Purity: >90% (SDS-PAGE). Interleukin-17A (IL-17A) exhibits multiple biological activities on a variety of cells including the induction of IL-6 and IL-8 production in fibroblasts, the enhancement of surface expression of ICAM-1 in fibroblasts, activation of NF-kappaB and costimulation of T cell proliferation. Induces stromal cells to produce proinflammatory and hematopoietic cytokines.
