Mode of action is through inhibition of acetolactate synthase ALS (acetohydroxyacid synthase AHAS), which causes a blockade of the biosynthesis of amino acids with branched side chains, such as L-Leucin, L-Isoleucin and L-Valin. Compound can be used as analytical reference material.
