Product description: The metabolite (2RS)-2-(4-Formylphenyl)propionic acid (Ibuprofen Impurity K) is a degradation product arising from oxidative and thermal treatments of Ibuprofen which is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to relieve pain from various conditions such as headache, dental pain or menstrual cramps. Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory inhibitor targeting COX-1 and COX-2. This product can be used as a working standard or secondary analytical reference standard. It can also be used as an organic building block and intermediate for synthesis.
