Product description: Tianeptine is an atypical antidepressant with diverse actions, most notably on the glutamatergic system. It is a selective facilitator of 5-HT (serotonin) uptake in vitro and in vivo. It attenuates glutamate release and modulates the function of the AMPA receptor. Tianeptine also acts as an agonist of the µ-opioid receptor (EC50s = 194 and 641nM for human and mouse receptors, respectively). Might have anti-inflammatory properties through modulation of TLR and NLRP3 inflammasome signaling pathways.
